Edison’s Community Engagement Panel Southern California Edison has appointed a group of local officials to meet four times a year to listen to Edison’s plans on decommissioning the nuclear power plant. Edison controls the agenda and the speakers and uses the events for PR. Members of the public are allowed 3 minutes to express opposition to Edison’s plan to build a nuclear waste dump 100 feet from the ocean in San Onofre.
