The Progressives of South Orange County will gather on Tuesday, Jan.  in the banquet room of Agostino’s Ristorante Italiano across from the beach, 34700 Coast Hwy., Capistrano Beach 92624.  As Edison begins loading the first canisters for the new San Onofre Nuclear Waste Dump, the focus of the meeting will be how to stop this ticking time bomb.  Guest speakers will be Charles Langley, Executive Director of Public Watchdogs ( and Board member Nina Babiarz.  They will discuss their Federal lawsuit against Edison, SDGE, the U.S. Navy, and the Dept. of Defense claiming that these agencies lack legal authority to deposit millions of pounds of highly radioactive nuclear waste 108 feet from the Pacific Ocean.  Also speaking will be board members Robert Pope and Pam Patterson.  Social hour and dinner 5:30-7 off the menu with the meeting beginning at 7.  RSVP necessary preferably before Jan. 5.  RSVP to   Also visit the Facebook page:

The Orange County Women’s March will be Saturday, Jan. 20, 9-1 in downtown Santa Ana with the starting point being Plaza Calle Cuatro Corner of 4th and French St. This is an all-inclusive, family-friendly, non-partisan event.
